About Eric Donoho

Eric Donoho is a retired United States Army Sergeant who served in a Scout/Sniper Platoon and deployed to Iraq in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He was medically retired in 2009 after sustaining injuries in combat, for which he was awarded the Purple Heart and the Combat Infantry Badge.

Since leaving active duty, Eric has dedicated his life to lifting others — particularly his fellow veterans. He has worked directly alongside Congress on landmark veteran legislation including the 988 Suicide Hotline Act and the PACT Act. He has been a leading national voice on moral injury, veteran suicide, and the invisible wounds of war.

Eric is the author of *Canyon of Hope*, a memoir of military service, loss, and resilience. He has been featured on CNN, NBC News, CBS, the TODAY Show, AP News, VFW Magazine, Fox 59, IndyStar, Military.com, and the Baltimore Sun, among others. He has appeared on more than a dozen podcasts and delivered keynote addresses at venues including the Ronald Reagan Presidential Library.
